Behind the Podcast: Exploring Education Paths for Different People
The YE4C team is excited to share a series of podcasts with you about the different paths that young people can take when transitioning to adulthood. These episodes were recorded by change-makers and focus on topics related to education, careers, and mental health. Check out this episode with Dexter about exploring career paths and let us know what you think!

This was Dexter’s first podcast recording! In this episode, Dexter shares information about options other than attending a four-year university. He chose to talk about education because, “in my area, (Inglewood CA) there is a firm belief that you can only get into college on a sports scholarship, or not go at all.” He hopes listeners learn something valuable from a podcast about alternative education options. Dexter also provides information about apprenticeships and vocational schools. We asked what he hopes listeners get out of this episode, and he says, “the thing I want for people to get from my segment is that there are always other options; you just have to know where to look.”
We are so excited to explore the podcast medium through our YE4C Radio and present episodes for youth by youth about youth in a way we have not tried before. Don't forget to check out our new Education & Career Toolkit for more content about education and careers.
