Do you want to gain hands-on experience working in the medical field to help veterans? Then the VA Student Volunteer Program is a great opportunity for you. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is committed to caring for and serving veterans and their families by providing the benefits and services they need.

Volunteers in the VA Student Volunteer Program work in local VA medical centers, learn new skills, make new friends, and explore careers in the medical field. Students may even qualify for college scholarships. Many services and specialties are available to student volunteers, such as speech pathology, physical therapy, nursing, social work, and many more.

Become a student volunteer by contacting the Department of Veterans Affairs facility near you and let Voluntary Service know about your interest in being a volunteer. You can also visit the website and fill out a form.
