Pura Vida Program
Pura Vida Program
Are you interested in protecting our national parks? Pura Vida is a private, nonprofit organization that funds projects to enhance Grand Teton National Park’s cultural and national resources. The organization initiates improvements, conducts research, and works on special projects for the park.
The Pura Vida youth program engages youth in the National Park Service’s mission of protecting the natural and cultural resources in our national parks. The program has five fun and exciting programs for young people:
- The Youth Conservation Program works on trails to provide access, protect habitats, preserve historic sites, and learn about park history.
- Pura Vida dissolves barriers between the Latino community and the park by offering outdoor learning experiences, leadership training, and recreation.
- The NPS Academy introduces college students to career paths within the National Park Service.
- The Tribal Youth Corps provides hands-on opportunities for youth to learn about the natural and cultural history of the park through an internship.
- Mountains to Main Street offers career development to young professionals.
Programs vary from 1 to 12 weeks in length, with paid opportunities available. Check the website for more information about deadlines to apply for these great programs!
