The Jane Goodall Institute strives to further the work of scientist Dr. Jane Goodall. The Institute inspires young people to help animals and protect the world. It works with local communities in the contexts of conservation efforts, environmental education, and sustainable lifestyles. The Institute also works to protect chimpanzees and other great apes.

Interns are assigned to projects that are structured to meet their personal goals, interests, and strengths.

The following positions are open:

  • Development and Marketing: addresses a wide variety of tasks to support fundraising and communication efforts.
  • Communications: works on a wide variety of projects to advance and manage the message and public identity of the Jane Goodall Institute.
  • Image Archiving: work to preserve and organize archival material in the Institute’s library.
  • Founder Relations: promote the ongoing work of Dr. Jane Goodall through a variety of projects.
  • Youth Engagement: position focuses on writing, online journalism, social media, graphic design, education, and youth leadership.

Time Commitment:

Interns serve for one semester.

Compensation:

Internships are unpaid, but interns can arrange for academic credit to be earned with their schools.
