Introducing the 5th Cohort of the YE4C Editorial Board

We're excited to introduce you to the 5th cohort of the Youth Engaged 4 Change Editorial Board! This group of 16-24 year-olds brings unique perspectives, experiences, and passion to YE4C. Working together, board members will create content that is informative, empowering, and relatable to young people across the United States.

Alberta
Alberta (she, her), 21, recently graduated with a degree in Public Health and now serves as an AmeriCorps member with the choice program at UMBC. She is very passionate about youth agency and health and wellness for all. She wants to use the YE4C EB to promote healthy decisions among the youth. In her free time, Alberta enjoys watching movies and dancing. She is looking forward to continuing her studies next year to get a master’s in public health.
Ana Fabiana
Fabiana (she/her), 17, is from Tucson, Arizona. After she finishes high school, she plans to study medicine with a minor in Spanish at the University of Arizona. Fabiana’s goal is to be a doctor for communities that need more health care. She also cares about helping young people with their health, stopping youth homelessness, and celebrating all kinds of different cultures and people. For fun, Fabiana loves spending time with dogs, traveling, and going to concerts.
Andy
Andy (she/her), 24, is a Bolivian American living in Florida. She works in advertising and is excited to be part of this year’s YE4C Editorial Board and collaborate with other young people. Andy is passionate about health care equity and sustainability, aiming to create content that highlights these issues. She hopes to inspire other young people to advocate for themselves in the health care space and learn about more sustainable practices. Andy enjoys spray-painting, eating spicy foods, and watching Back to the Future in her free time.
Beth
Beth (she/they), 18, is a junior at Tennessee Tech University, where she studies Human Ecology, concentrating on Human Development and Family Sciences. Originally from Cookeville, Tennessee, she is excited about making content that combines her interests in agriculture and mental health in her second term on the YE4C Editorial Board. In her free time, Beth loves gardening and baking.
Hannah
Hannah (she/her), 17, is a high school student from Delaware with Ghanaian American heritage. She has podcasting experience and wants to use her voice to educate and empower others. Using the Youth Engaged 4 Change platform, she aims to bridge divides and create a better future. Hannah believes that open dialogue is powerful in the youth employment sector, and she’s excited to begin this important work.
Lilith
Lilith (she/her), 18, is a college student living in Oklahoma. She is passionate about LGBTQIA+ issues and mental health. Lilith works on helping students with their overall health and well-being of youth through sharing affordable housing information, educating about the dangers of teen drug use, and encouraging sustainable choices. She hopes to empower other young women to make positive changes in their communities as a YE4C Editorial Board Member. Lilith is a huge music fan and loves going to concerts.
Maya
Maya (she/her), 18, is a communications lead at the Sunrise Movement youth hub in Dallas, Texas. She hopes to draw on her excitement about climate justice, women’s rights, and making education fair for everyone to inform her content development as a YE4C Editorial Board member. In her spare time, Maya enjoys reading, watching sports, and listening to Taylor Swift.
Rohan
Rohan (he, him), 17, is a dedicated senior in Brentwood, California, passionate about advancing environmental justice, health policy, and juvenile justice. He serves on his county’s Hazardous Materials Commission, where he advocates for safer, healthier communities, and leads as the chair of Sustainable Leaders in Action (SLIA), a youth-led nonprofit committed to driving meaningful climate action. Rohan enjoys learning languages, playing cello, and collecting Smiskis in his free time.
Skylar
Skylar (she/her), 24, is a Bard College graduate and Posse scholar alumna, is originally from Atlanta, Georgia, and now calls New York City home. She created Sister2Sister, a mentorship program for young women of color that Bard College adopted as their first initiative for women of color. Skylar loves creative activities and aims to inspire young people to be true to themselves.
Stellan
Stellan (he/him), 21, is an activist and leader from Memphis, Tennessee. He is the head of the Memphis Youth Action Board at the Community Alliance for the Homeless. He is also part of the Adolescent Trial Network, focusing on HIV prevention and care for teens and young adults. In his free time, Stellan enjoys writing, painting, collaging, and playing the Sims (4).
Turhan
Turhan (he/him), 16, is a junior at BASIS Oro Valley High School in Tucson, Arizona. He is excited to create content that shows diverse life experiences to help young people understand the world better. When he's not busy with school, Turhan likes playing volleyball, reading, and learning new hobbies.
Vaishnavi
Vaishnavi (she/her), 16, is a high school student from New Orleans, Louisiana. She is passionate about mental health, health policy, journalism, and research. Vaishnavi is eager to help create materials that support easier access to mental health resources. In her free time, she enjoys singing, biking, and reading.
