Though Molly has been a guest on a podcast before, she had never recorded episodes of her own! She is an active podcast listener and was humbled in “getting to work alongside AIR [American Institute for Research] and YE4C professionals and interviewing some of the most incredible and influential young people I know.” Her intention was to help destigmatize and spread awareness of mental illness – “Everyone struggles with something, that is a reality, but we do not have to struggle alone.” Furthermore, she says, “I wanted these podcasts to serve as a resource for youth who needed to hear encouragement and inspire them to power through. I truly hope that I helped even just one person by telling these stories.”
Molly volunteered to be one of the first podcast hosts on the Youth Engaged 4 Change Radio. We are so excited to explore the podcast medium through our YE4C Radio and present episodes for youth by youth about youth in a way we have not tried before. While these videos were recorded in the Spring of 2019, we hope to have many more youths conduct interviews on our podcast network soon! Conducting a podcast looks great on a resume, may provide helpful advice to countless listeners and is a lot of fun!
