RENEW (Rehabilitation for Empowerment, Natural Supports, Education and Work) is a community-based, person-centered planning and secondary transition model for youth with emotional and behavioral disorders. Using the principles of wraparound, RENEW has helped over 300 youth in New Hampshire to finish high school, go to college and obtain employment. A project of the Institute on Disability at the University of New Hampshire, RENEW is currently being implemented as the intensive level intervention in high schools that are implementing PBIS, and in community mental health centers. Studies of pre- and post level functioning of youth has shown strong positive results.
