Keeping track of finances and creating budgets can be a challenging task. Finding good, free resources to help can be difficult. Fortunately, Elizabeth Stout of the YE4C Editorial Board identified five apps that can help you manage your money. Each of them can be downloaded on your smartphone or tablet. Here they are:

The app includes a feature that allows you to take pictures of receipts to easily log purchases. The app does not require any of your banking information. You just provide your name and email. Your personal information is stored safely and immediately anonymized; any data shared with third parties is anonymous, as outlined in their privacy policy. (iPhone app) |

These are just few of the many apps out there to help you plan and manage your finances as well. Some – like Moneythink – use the power of technology to focus on helping students navigate the financial decisions related to selecting and attending college. And, as always, youth.gov features a wealth of resources on financial capability. You will also find a treasure trove of financial resources from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. All these resources can help you create budgets, improve your understanding of personal finance and achieve your finance goals.
