Youth Outreach Services
Youth Outreach Services partners with youth in need and their families to help them discover what they can achieve. The organization inspires positive development through various services in the areas of child welfare, counseling, juvenile justice, and prevention (relative to abuse, substance abuse, and homelessness).
The organization offers internships for undergraduate and graduate students and recent graduates. Interns work with Chicago’s most vulnerable youth, and clinical interns have their own clients. Administrative interns support administrative staff.
Current internship positions with Youth Outreach Services include:
- Treatment Counseling Internship: currently not accepting applications.
- DJJ Substance Abuse and Treatment Internship: work with clients in a treatment program focused on substance abuse and mental health.
- Multi-systemic Therapy Internship: conduct client surveys, create resource database, shadow employees, and other activities.
- Prevention Specialist Internship: helps to provide life-skills education to youth.
