United Negro College Fund—Scholarships
As the nation’s largest private scholarship provider for minority groups, the United Negro College Fund seeks to help build a nation where all Americans have equal access to a college education by recognizing and helping underrepresented students. The fund hopes to increase the number of African American college graduates by hosting member institutions as a college option, creating support programs, and building awareness of the benefits of college within the African American community.
The United Negro College Fund has a variety of scholarships available for talented African American students. You can search for scholarships based on household income, grade point average, major, state, and more. The fund currently has 16 diverse scholarships, each with different eligibility criteria, deadlines, and required documentation. Many scholarships require that the applicant applies for federal student aid, so students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
