Public Health Associate Program (PHAP)
The Public Health Associate Program (PHAP) is managed by CDC’s Center for State, Tribal, Local, and Territorial Support (CSTLTS). The Program aims to nurture the next generation of public health professionals in state, tribal, local, and territorial public health agencies.
PHAP is a competitive two-year, paid training program for recent college graduates who are interested in a career in public health. Associates gain hands-on, real-life experience in the day-to-day work of public health programs.
Time Commitment:
Full-time position for a 2-year time period.
Compensation:
First year associates receive salary and benefits equivalent to a GS-5 on the federal pay scale. Second year associates are eligible for salary and benefits equivalent to GS-7. See website for more information.

Qualifications:

Must be a U.S. Citizen, permanent resident, or U.S. national

Applicants must have graduated college within the last 2 years (6 years for military veterans who are unable to apply within 2 years due to military service)
