The National Mentoring Partnership
Mentoring can help young people stay in school, get better grades, avoid using drugs, and improve their communication skills. Mentoring.org understands the great values of mentoring and is dedicated to improving the quantity and quality of mentoring relationships in the United States. The organization maintains the only national database of youth mentoring programs that connects volunteers to opportunities in their local communities.
Sign up to find a mentoring program that works best for you. The website allows you to search for a program based on types of youth (such as foster youth or low income), age of youth, and type of mentoring (such as one-to-one or group). You can work with an adult mentor, mentor younger teens in your community, or even start your own program. Start searching for the right mentoring program here. Mentoring.org even gives you the opportunity to look for a mentor who can help you set academic and career goals, make healthy choices, and think through problems at home or school. If you are interested in finding a mentor for yourself, start searching here.
