Are you currently in foster care or alumni of care? Do you need help paying for college or career school? You may be eligible for the Educational and Training Vouchers (ETV) Program, which can provide up to $5,000 per academic year.
Funded by the federal government and administered by the states, ETV grants are awarded to current or former foster care youth. Apply for vouchers by contacting the foster care manager at the child welfare agency in your state. (Some ETV Programs are administered by a third party.) Don’t miss out on this great opportunity that can help pay for your tuition, dorm fees, books, student loan repayments, and living expenses.
Make sure you are eligible. The ETV Program is intended to serve youth likely to remain in foster care until age 18, youth adopted or under kinship guardianship at age 16 or older, and young adults between 18 and 21 who have aged out of the foster care system.
