The Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute works to raise awareness regarding the struggles of children in need relative to adoption and foster care. The Institute works on Capitol Hill and across the nation in the areas of foster care policy and law. It operates several programs that help provide information to policy makers so they are able to make a difference in the lives of children in need of adoption and foster care.
Internships are offered during the following three semesters:
- Spring: January–May
- Summer: May–August
- Fall: August–December
Interns work with staff in all departments. Positions are available in policy, programs, development, and administration.
Time Commitment:
Summer internships: Full-time commitment
Fall and Spring internships: Minimum of 15 hours per week
Compensation: Course credit
Location: Washington, D.C.
