Highlights of YE4C's Second Editorial Board
Highlights of YE4C's Second Editorial Board
It’s easy to want things to be better. But committing to making them better is an entirely different thing. We would like to take this moment to extend our sincere appreciation to the members of YE4C’s second editorial board. This group of young people committed their time, creativity, and skills to make YE4C better. Because of them, YE4C has better content and reaches more people.
The editorial board hosted virtual contests and developed blog posts. They also helped create and share Inspiring Stories while encouraging young people to get vaccinated. We are very proud that members introduced new content to YE4C, addressing topics like ableism, neurodiversity, and agriculture. They also met with members of the Interagency Working Group on Youth Programs and other federal staff charged with improving outcomes for young people. Please join us in thanking them for their many contributions!
Here are a few highlights!
Ada co-created an IGTV on Ableism on College Campuses and another on Ableism through Lived Experience. She also developed weekly COVID content for YE4C’s Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter channels.
Akshay planned and recorded an interview on housing insecurity. To prepare, he met with federal staff, reviewed research materials, and spoke with young people who have personally experienced housing insecurity. He also crafted a script and interviewed fellow editorial board member, Garrett.
