The first episode in this series features Lexandra, a college sophomore from Huntsville, Alabama. We first met Lexandra when she joined us for a listening session in October 2018. This time, our VSFS intern, Lori, got to sit down and talk with Lexandra about her college application process as a youth in foster care. Lexandra chose to talk about college because she wanted to help people who struggle with figuring out their passions. She affirms that it is okay to change your major; it is important that you "make sure [your major] is something you enjoy so you don’t get stuck doing something you hate". When asked what she hoped to accomplish with this podcast, Lexandra responded, "I hope that by listening to my podcast youth can get a[n] insight as to what I went through and know that they aren’t the only ones."
